Ingredients

Chicken ingredients:

  • 8 Chicken thighs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper :
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon hot chilly flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 5 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

 

White basmati rice

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1  3/4 cups boiled water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Let's do it!

Chicken:

Cut the chicken thighs to 1.5” pieces

In a bowl add all spices with 3 tablespoons of olive oil, mix well and add the chicken pieces.

Refrigerate 2 hours.

In a large skillet add 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium/ high heat.

Add the spiced chicken thighs, mix well, keep stirring and flip the pieces so it will be cooked evenly for approximately 10 minutes.

 

Rice:

Place the rice in a thin strainer and wash it thoroughly.

Over medium heat, warm the olive oil in a pan or large skillet and add

The washer rice, stir for one minute and then add the boiled water.

Cover the pan and allow the rice to cook for 15 to 20 minutes until rice is cooked through and liquid is absorbed.

You can stir occasionally, as needed.
