Ingredients

  • 6 cups flour
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 1 .5 cups sugar
  • 2 baking powder
  • 2 vanilla sugar
  • 1 cup Canola oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 800 grams date spread (2 containers)
  • 1 cup Chopped walnuts
  • 3 teaspoon cinnamon (it’s an option)

Let's do it!

Preheat the oven to 350°F

Mix well all ingredients until the dough is soft
Divide the dough into 4, and work on each piece at a time.

On a parchment paper place one piece of dough and shape it carefully to a rectangle, the thickness of the dough should be approximately 1 cm (less than 0.5”)

Spread the dates spread, sprinkle chopped walnuts and add cinnamon if you want.

Roll carefully the dough with the parchment paper and place it on a baking sheet.
Insert to a preheated oven at 375 f degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes until It gets golden.

Remove from the oven and wait until it cools down

Cut 1″ slices with a sharpie knife and sprinkle with sugar powder
